So I just installed a new plug-in at TomMusial.com that should put a notification in my MySpace blog every time I add a new post here.
I wonder if it will really work?

I’d like to write about how aggravated I get when Pittsburgh comedians complain about other Pittsburgh comedians.
But then I’d be a Pittsburgh comedian complaining about other Pittsburgh comedians.
Crap!
This is one of my favorite pieces of hometown humor:
Excerpt:
You will find that you go from Point-A to Point-B using one route, and from Point-B back to Point-A using a different route. Further, on the first route, you will drive along a piece of road going one direction, and on the way home, you will drive along the same piece of road, going the same direction, and it will make sense to you.
Wednesday at Gorman’s Bar in Brentwood. 9:00 pm.
Saturday at the renovated Sunny Jim’s in the North Hills. 9:00 pm.
I’m doing a five-minute guest set at the Corner Cafe tonight (one of the best places in the city to see comedy — the hilarious Bill Scott is the headliner tonight), followed by a trip to the Shadow Lounge where I may or may not do some time.
Aren’t I a busy little bee?
For reasons that go beyond the scope of this blog, I’ve been spending more time in Crafton lately than I ever would have imagined.
I’ll be back there again Thursday night for a show at the Obey House Tavern, hosted by Brad Ryan.
It promises to be a good time. 9:00 pm. FREE.
I return to the Brillobox in Lawrenceville tonight. Hosted by Gab Bonesso.
The best place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your need for alternative, underground, diverse, comedy goodness.
Show starts at 9:00. FREE
Let’s see lots of moments like this in today’s game.
Last night I had the good fortune to perform in the first ever comedy show at the Pechin Firehouse Restaurant. I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable nights of my comedy career.
The ownership and staff at Pechin’s was unbelievable friendly and accommodating. Mark from Kingfish Worldwide did a great job running the technical side. The audience was simply fantastic. And the food was absolutely excellent.
(Of course, the comedy of Jeff Konkle and Mike Wysocki was pretty hilarious too. I didn’t do terribly either.)
Be sure to check out one of the future shows at Pechin’s, or just stop by the next time you’re in Fayette County for an excellent meal and wonderful service. Tell them Tom Musial sent you.
I’m heading to Connellsville tonight for a show at the Pechin Firehouse Restaurant. It promises to be a good time.
I left the last lyrics quiz up extra-long to give folks a chance to answer. We can see how well that went.
Regardless, answers are below.
A few weeks ago, my extended family took a trip downtown. We visited the nativity scene at the US Steel Building, then walked past the Westin William Penn before perusing the animated window scenes at Kaufmann’s.
Nice story, huh?
Except for one thing.
None of those places actually exist.
9:30 pm.
FREE
Carson Street.
Now using the upstairs stage.
Eagle-eyed readers of Tom Musial Dot Com may have noticed that my tagline (the small text in the header) changes each time you visit a new page in the site.
I’m too indecisive to simply choose a single tagline, so I’ve collected a variety of lyrics that describe me or which elicit laughter because they don’t describe me at all. (For example: #5 below).
Listed below are ten taglines from the current rotation. Have fun.
Great. This is just what I needed. More competition.
“With Wall Street hemorrhaging jobs, bonuses disappearing and the financial sector going through a seismic shift, some bankers and lawyers are switching lanes to more creative career paths. They are putting down their Wall Street Journals and picking up Variety as they try their hands at comedy, filmmaking and writing.” (link)
Of course, if they’re as good at comedy as they were at banking, it should be no problem.
