The Pittsburgh radio station found at 93.7 FM has renounced its “Man Talk” format and gone back to Top 40. They’re even adopting their old tag name, “B-94,” even though their old call letters (WBZZ) are no longer available.
The station has been playing testimonials from listeners: “We’re so glad to have B94 back. We missed you!”
Nothing typifies Pittsburgh more than people getting excited about something old. “Build a subway under the river? Screw that. Bring back the trolleys!”
In other news, plans are under way to move the Pirates back to Three Rivers Stadium; the Garden Theater is going to start showing porn again; the city plans to lure an abandoned Sears back to East Liberty; and Rick Sebak has announced the title of his next PBS special: “Things That Weren’t There Anymore But Then Came Back.”
