Nothing exemplifies the spirit of comedy than pitting comics against each other in a fight to the death. Or to the pain. Or to whatever.
Last night I appeared in the first round of PD’s Pubs first Monday Madness Comedy Competition. I advanced to the semi-final round along with Matt Jones. Rico Cooper had the best set of the night and advanced directly to the finals. Come see me in the semi-finals on May 28 (I think).
Tomorrow night, I appear in Comic Wars at the Improv in Homestead. In this event, I’m part of a team (along with Frank Grazulis, Sharon Daly, and Doug Joseph) that will attempt to out-funny the reigning Comic Wars champions Bill Scott, J.J. Williams, Mike Wysocki, and Bill Crawford. Show time is 8:00. Cover is $5.
So, if you like seeing comedians beaten and humiliated, this is the week.
